Daily Tip: Planning your garden should include attracting beneficials such as ladybugs, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, among other pollinators into your garden. Ladybugs kill aphids, so if you have had an aphid problem, invest in plants that attract them such as Cosmos (all season bloomers), chives, or fennel. If you’d like to attract bees, plant yellow flowers. Butterflies like purple but are really attracted to butterfly bush (hence, the name) and hummingbirds love reds, orange and deep throated blooms, like penstemon.
